Employee-led workplace campaign results in over $46,000 raised for Hawaii Island United Way in 2023

A year-long workplace campaign led by Hawaiian Electric employees resulted in raising more than $46,000 for Hawaii Island United Way, the nonprofit working to advance the health, education and financial stability of the Hawaii community. Guided by the campaign theme Pilina, the Hawaiian meaning “to come together,” employees united with retirees and IBEW Local 1260 to amplify their fundraising efforts.

Hawaiian Electric to conduct aerial line inspections

To improve system reliability, Hawaiian Electric will conduct quarterly aerial inspections of its major overhead transmission lines from Monday, April 29, to Friday, May 3.
